The Ephraim-Palais Museum invites blind, visually impaired, and sighted people of all ages to create postcards that can be "read" by hand.
At the calligraphy workshop of the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB), everyone can learn the Japanese art of beautiful writing. Using paper, ink, and brush, participants can create characters or their favorite word as Japanese calligraphy to take home.
The workshop is led by the award-winning calligraphy master Saiu Minagawa. Watch the artist at work and learn fascinating facts about different styles and Japanese scripts in a personal conversation.
The Japanese-German Center Berlin, a non-profit foundation, promotes German-Japanese and international exchange in business, science, culture, society, and politics. It celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2025. Further information can be found on the JDZB website.
