About the series

For 14 years, Bande á Part has been a kaleidoscopic space for contemporary choreography, audience-focused interactions, and performances beyond mainstream logic. Performers from diverse backgrounds use the stage as a space for experimentation, dialogue, and bold artistic voices. The 2025/26 season promises a panorama of moving art: spaces for expression, encounters, shifts in perspective, and communal experiences.

About the performance

How does displacement change the body and voice? What new meanings do "home," "fragility," and "belonging" take on?

In "Temporary Solutions to Name the Lost," Naia Urresti and J. René Guerra explore the fragility of the body after displacement. Movement and language become "territories of adaptation," shaped by the struggle to relearn and reconstruct a torn identity. Between gestures, memories, and fragmented languages, the performance explores how what is lost and what remains can be simultaneously inhabited.

The work combines poetic-fictional and documentary elements, based on the personal experiences of the performers: two Venezuelan exiles, a neurodiverse dancer (Naia Urresti), and a lesbian writer and director (J. René Guerra).

The stage itself thus becomes a narrative of exile: a subtle protest in which the vulnerable body becomes a field of resistance against systems of power and makes visible the physical and psychological consequences of violence and uprooting.
