German Film Orchestra Babelsberg: pure drums & percussion, accompanied by narration by Marion Brasch

The German Film Orchestra Babelsberg is continuing its collaboration with the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation in 2025 with this special concert series.

Three concerts in the historic dance hall will set the mood for the special openings of the palace in September and October with expert tours of exciting and previously unreflected contemporary stories of the palace.

At the third concert in the series, you can expect works for various drums and percussion instruments, both original and arranged, played by the percussionists of the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg.

The author and presenter Marion Brasch will talk about the period from 1954 to 1963, when the German Academy of Film Art was located in the palace, and open up a view of Babelsberg's film and film music tradition up to the present day.

A concert series of the SPSG in cooperation with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg.
