Avi Kaplan's songs show a deep connection to folk, are timeless, authentic and influenced by soul and bluegrass.
With "Pentatonix" Avi Kaplan celebrates huge international success, fills stadiums worldwide and wins three Grammy Awards with the a cappella band between 2015 and 2017. But all this success, the world tours and the stress leave their mark on the singer and make him leave the band in 2017. Avi Kaplan retires, moves into a house in the wasteland near Nashville and returns to his roots. After a time out, the musician picks up his guitar again and writes his first songs.
"Sage and Stone" is then the first EP that Avi Kaplan releases as a solo artist in 2017 under the name "Avriel & the Sequoias". After another single in the same year, the American musician changes his stage name to Avi Kaplan.
After "Change on the Rise", "Otherside", "The Summit", "Aberdeen" and "Get Down" (all 2019), "I'll Get By" was released in November 2019, the first single heralding the debut album of the same name, which was released on February 28.
