A musical portrait
Barbra Streisand's trademarks are her silver eyes and her big nose. She never conformed to the Hollywood ideal and was often mocked as the "ugly duckling". But his voice brought the girl from the New York poor neighborhood of Brooklyn all the way to the top and made the actress and singer with numerous films ("Funny Girl", "Yentl", "A Star is Born") And songs like "Woman in Love", "Tell him" and "Memory" are world famous. In April 2022, the actress and singer celebrated her 80th birthday.
Her voice also carried weight on political and social issues: she made a name for herself as an uncompromising liberal campaigner for environmental protection and against weapons of mass destruction, drug use and discrimination against homosexuals.
