History:
The Piano Schulze Boogie Band, active since 1982 and existing under this name since 1985, has established itself as a firm institution in the field of blues, boogie-woogie and ragtime. The band has produced many talented musicians over the years. One of the founding members and long-time drummer is Dirk Höseler.
From 1991 to 1995, Micha Maaß was part of the band as drummer. During this time, the project also enjoyed great success as a boogie-woogie duo. After a longer period together, Piano Schulze and Micha Maaß took new musical paths and formed their own bands.
In the following years, Piano Schulze found the blues and boogie-woogie pianist Axel Zwingenberger and the two performed together at venues such as the Passionskirche in Berlin and the Fabrik in Hamburg. They worked together for around 10 years and played at many renowned festivals.

The current line-up has been established since 2015, consisting of Jürgen Dello (guitar), Dirk Höseler (drums) and Piano Schulze (piano & vocals).
