A collaboration with the Shakespeare Company Berlin

Whether you’re looking for stars in the eyes of a loved one or in the sky—after all the twists and turns of Shakespeare’s plays, how about a trip up Insulanerhügel to the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory?

Even though 400 years separate us from Shakespeare’s time, with a few exceptions, the same celestial bodies shone—and still shine—over people then and now. Learn more about the sky above Berlin—on a clear night, you can even take a look through the observatory’s large telescope, the Bamberg refractor, or use smaller telescopes.

This event is a collaboration between the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory, the Planetarium at the Insulaner, and the Shakespeare Company Berlin.

After attending a performance at the Theater am Insulaner on Friday or Saturday, admission to the observation night at the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory is free. To take advantage of this, please come to the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory on Insulaner Hill after the theater performance and have your theater ticket ready.
