The BFF Promotion Prize regularly honors the best emerging photographers who inspire with their creative perspectives. This year’s competition theme is “Play,” and the best entries will be exhibited at the Willy Brandt House for the first time.
The twelve participants, selected by a jury of experts, developed and produced their concepts over the course of six months in close collaboration with the BFF mentors.
In doing so, they interpreted the theme “Play” individually. The winner, E. Alejandro De Paoli Padilla, was honored at the end of May 2026. His work “According to the Dice / From an Inventory of 236” focuses on the photographic treatment of controlled chance.
Using a self-developed set of instructions and a six-sided die as a decision-making tool, selection and distribution were determined, which directly influenced the composition of the staged still lifes.
