BENGE events are designed for FLINTA* individuals. They provide FLINTA* individuals with low-barrier access to culture and networking opportunities, and place a strong emphasis on fair and respectful treatment of artists and raising awareness.

In addition to donation-based admission (which also allows for free access), accessible venues, and an awareness team, the events also offer the opportunity to meet new people and build a community.

Two events will take place in the original BENGE format:

May 21, 2026 (5:00 PM) & June 4, 2026 (6:00 PM)

Small group of max. 50 people

FLINTA*-only

featuring a workshop, concerts, and a DJ in one evening

And then our closing event (TBA):

June 12, 2026

max. 250 people

featuring only concerts and DJs

open to FLINTA* and allies (including non-FLINTA*)

This project is currently being privately funded and organized by Susi Nguimba and Fio Auer without external grants.

The events will be considered a success if participants take advantage of the offerings. This would enable long-term collaboration with the venues and thus lead to more low-barrier events for FLINTA* individuals in the future.
