30 Years of the Organic Market at Kollwitzplatz (1996–2026)

The Berlin Organic Market at Kollwitzplatz has been held regularly in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg for 30 years. About 40 vendors from Berlin and the surrounding area offer regional organic products as well as sustainable goods and services at the market.

The selection includes, among other things, fruits and vegetables from certified organic farms, baked goods, cheese, free-range eggs, meat and sausage products, organic wine, and freshly prepared foods such as soups, pizza, and raw food dishes. In addition, wild herbs and artisanal products are available.

The market places a strong emphasis on regionality and seasonal produce. Many products come directly from farms in Brandenburg and Berlin and are sold without long transport routes. There is also a wide selection for vegan and raw food diets.

In 2026, the Ökomarkt will celebrate its anniversary. To mark the occasion, additional events are planned throughout the year, including presentations by local initiatives, live music, theater performances, and other cultural offerings. The goal is to combine sustainability themes with community engagement and a cultural program.
