On the special exhibition "Cassirer and the breakthrough of Impressionism"

Through his gallery in Berlin, Paul Cassirer promoted the spread of French Impressionism in Germany.

Artists such as Degas, Cézanne, Manet, Monet, Renoir, and van Gogh gained wider recognition in German-speaking countries for the first time through him. Numerous key works found their way into major German collections and museums through his efforts, including the holdings of the Nationalgalerie.

A tour of the special exhibition sheds light on the gallery owner and his passion for art.
