Try out, program, discover research
In this Open Lab evening, you’ll get to the bottom of these questions. You’ll discover current examples from research and practice, learn why people develop robots, and try out for yourself how robotics works.
Together, you’ll take a look at where robots are already being used today, what problems they’re designed to solve, and what ideas researchers are developing for the future. It’s not just about technology, but also about our relationship with machines: What should robots be capable of? What tasks would you like to assign to them? And what might good collaboration between humans and machines look like?
In the hands-on part, you’ll get active yourselves: Using Dash robots, which can be controlled and programmed via an app, you’ll solve creative challenges. This way, you’ll experience firsthand how you can build complex processes using simple commands. No prior knowledge is required—just curiosity, a desire to experiment, and a joy in discovering things together.
What is an Open Lab Evening?
Every Thursday, things get creative at the Lab. You’ll learn methods like Design Thinking and Future Storytelling, try out 3D printers, laser cutters, and robots, and get a behind-the-scenes look at Lab projects. There’s something new every week.
