Journeys of Resistance
Women in Exile e.V. , in cooperation with the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum, illuminates the archival practices and political engagement of Women in Exile and its supporters in Berlin, Brandenburg, and beyond. The focus is on the organization's work and networking within the context of European migration and asylum policies.
Using documents and accounts of activist practices, the exhibition shows how Women in Exile built alliances of solidarity despite systematic exclusion. In doing so, the exhibition highlights the role of feminist solidarity and grassroots movements in the fight against racism.
As part of the permanent exhibition "local conversations - long-distance conversations - local histories," it connects to civil society organizations and initiatives in the district that advocate for political participation and social justice.
