With Material Tales: Gestures of Abstraction, Bode Projects presents a group exhibition in which seven international artists explore the breadth of contemporary abstraction.

Their works, characterised by different materials and technical approaches, address questions of cultural memory, diasporic experience and personal identity. The interplay of structure and intuitive gesture creates a multi-layered view of socially influenced visual worlds and the aesthetic translation of everyday observations.
Running in parallel, The Bright Women marks the opening of Layo Bright's inaugural solo exhibition at Bode Projects.
Designed as a spotlight show, this presentation brings together glass portraits through which the artist reflects on her family relationships and focuses on themes such as migration, connectedness, and the location of the female self.
Both exhibitions open on 5 December 2025 and can be viewed from 6 December 2025 to 25 January 2026.
