The 126th special exhibition at the Ceramics Museum Berlin (KMB) will showcase both gifts received by the KMB Support Association for its collection over the past two years and several new acquisitions.

As a highlight of the exhibition's opening, the association will be presented with a special Jian tea bowl featuring an oil-stained glaze. It was created last year by the Chinese artist Yiyun Ye from Fujian and is entitled "Meteorite Crater - Light Change."

At the opening, Mr. Wenbo He, Acting Director of the Chinese Cultural Center Berlin, will deliver a few words of welcome, and Mr. Juntao Ye, the artist's nephew who lives in Berlin, will speak about his uncle's tea bowl. The event will be accompanied by music on the traditional Chinese zither, the guzheng, performed by Ms. Ariel Qiu.

Other gifts presented in the cabinet exhibition, which runs until March 23, 2026, are primarily objects from the 1920s, including three vases by the renowned Art Nouveau artist Max Laeuger (1864–1952) of Karlsruhe, a collection of stoneware vessels from Königsbrück decorated by the Dresden painter Max Schleinitz (1880–1935), a coffee service from the Velten-Vordamm stoneware factories (1920s) with the "Paradise Garden" design by Charlotte Hartmann, as well as ceramic plaques by Siegmund Schütz of KPM, Pasquale Liguori (born 1964) of Italy, Jörg von Manz (1939–1997), Fridegart Glatzle (1920–2015) of Karlsruhe, and several other works by contemporary artists.
