The Embassy of Ecuador in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf is presenting works by the poet and artist Diego Gorter (artist's pseudonym), born in Quito in 1967, in its current exhibition.
Diego Gorter has published several volumes of poetry, worked as a cultural editor for an Ecuadorian daily newspaper, and published several books and magazines. His artwork has been exhibited in Ecuador, Germany, France, Portugal, Switzerland, and other Latin American countries.
He also successfully participated in the Berlin Buddy Bear project a few years ago as Ecuador's representative. His bear was named "Oso amigo" (Friend Bear) from Ecuador and now stands in front of the entrance to the Ibero-American Institute in Berlin.
