From 4 July to 21 September 2025, the Friends of the Willy Brandt House will be showing a variety of photographic perspectives featuring images of cities and people from Myanmar.
The exhibition at the Willy Brandt House provides insights into the complex living conditions in the country, which are characterised by military rule and decades of struggle for freedom.
For his series Vast Land, Wolfgang Bellwinkel spent several years photographing Myanmar's three largest cities. Each city represents a historical period and the intellectual currents of a particular era.
Nora Bibel's series Myanmar's Driving Force shows the socio-political potential of activists as a driving force for the transformation process.
For his work The Revolution Takes a Little Longer, Vincent Haiges accompanied rebel and resistance groups in Myanmar in May 2025.
