In the summer of 2025 the Kolonnaden Bar opens once again at one of the most beautiful locations in Berlin. On the edge of the historic Kolonnadenhof courtyard on the northern tip of Museum Island and directly on the River Spree, there will be over 50 free events every Wednesday to Sunday between 5 June and 31 August 2025.

The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, Berlin's Vagabund Brewery and visitBerlin are jointly organising the island summer for the first time and will provide cool drinks, DJ sets and a cultural programme with selected guests.
The 8th edition of the Kolonnaden Bar is themed ‘Hier Sind Wir’ (Here We Are).
Seating, bar tables and the bar are spread out under the colonnades on the Spree side, inviting visitors to linger. There is space here for exchange, for new ideas and for everything that makes Berlin what it is: diversity, creativity and open conversation.The idea of a place for stimulating conversation, casual get-togethers and good drinks has a long tradition on Museum Island. At the end of the 19th century, a drinking hall opened under the colonnades on the Spree, which remained in operation until the 1930s.
Programme:
Ambient – Wednesdays Quiet soundscapes and gentle melodies invite you to pause and reflect – an atmospheric evening for a little midweek break.
Museum Sessions – Thursdays
Acoustic concerts and songwriters provide relaxed sounds after your visit to the museum.
Collective Takeover – Fridays Collectives from the city and beyond take to the stage with sounds, attitude and energy.
Open-air summer – Saturdays
It's time to dance – DJ sets, disco and sunset culture in the heart of Berlin.
Classical Sundowner – Sundays
End the week in style with classical music, opera, jazz and a dash of cabaret.

Opening hours of the Kolonnaden Bar:
- Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Fridays to Sundays from 12 noon to 10 p.m.
