Oberbaumbrücke: “Run, Lola, run” / “Unknown”
Where Lola ran
The Oberbaumbrücke between the Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg districts played a key role in the film “Run, Lola, run” by Tom Tykwer as well as the action thriller “Unknown” with Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger.
The red, picturesque brick bridge was the site of the accident in “Unknown” where the taxi being driven by Diane Kruger crashes into the Spree. In “Run, Lola, run”, Lola crosses the bridge on her run across the city. However, it must be said that in both films the Oberbaumbrücke was really not the most direct route they could have chosen.
