Berlin-based artist Annika Kahrs is presenting her first comprehensive institutional solo exhibition at Hamburger Bahnhof.
The show offers an overview of her work over the past fifteen years, including video works, sound installations and performances presented both within the museum and at external locations. Three central elements run through her practice: the close connection to the specific sites for which the works are created; the act of playing with sounds to challenge conventional listening habits; and the people who produce these sounds, hear them and are brought together by them. She has been working closely with composer Louis d’Heudières for many years.
