A fantastic dynamic unfolds in collaboration with his son, bassist Alec Gebhardt, who, despite his youth, already plays with some of the greats.
As a special guest, they are joined by Portuguese singer Armindo Ribeiro. He is considered one of the most authentic performers in Germany when it comes to Latin and Brazilian vocals, and this Latin specialist even occasionally picks up the accordion!
The Gebhardts and Ribeiro explore Brazilian literature, reinterpret classics of pop literature in a Latin style, and captivate the audience with their infectious enthusiasm and breathtaking improvisational skills. Of course, a few original songs will also be included.
The consummate guitarist, composer and arranger Ro Gebhardt received the German Music Edition Prize for his specialist book “Jazz-Alphabet”, and the opening tracks of his current CD “Blue Music For A Blue Planet” were awarded “best R’n’B/Soul song” and “best Jazz-Rock song” by the German Pop Foundation.
