Workshop: Quantum Arcade

In this interactive workshop, participants will gain a playful insight into the mathematical foundations that make quantum computers possible, no prior knowledge required.

The workshop utilizes two specially developed computer games: an adventure game and an arcade puzzler. Both were designed specifically for arcade machines as part of the "QuantumArcade" project and make key concepts of quantum computing, such as quantum gates, superposition, and entanglement, tangible.

The games will be available on arcade machines as well as at individual gaming stations. Playing and reflecting together will create a new, vivid perspective on the functionality and potential of quantum computers, for both young people and adults.

Workshop :

-> Karla Schön is a doctoral candidate in mathematical physics and researches quantum mechanics and the description of many-particle systems.

-> Dr. Oliver Schön is a physicist and holds a doctorate in relativity theory after studying mathematics and physics.
