Open Lab Abend: Make it Meme

In this workshop, participants will use memes to highlight their own perspectives, formulate clear messages, and consciously incorporate humor into their digital communication. Participants will be encouraged to respect boundaries and avoid creating offensive or discriminatory content.

They will actively develop their own memes, brainstorm visual ideas, formulate compelling statements, and create them using simple digital tools. Afterward, they will reflect on their impact and responsibility in a collaborative discussion.

Workshop Leader:

-> Petra Anders received the Communicator Award for outstanding science communication in 2025; the Tagesspiegel newspaper lists her among the "100 most important minds in Berlin science." She has been a professor at Humboldt University since 2018 and conducts participatory research on how we can learn meaningfully with and from each other. She developed approaches to poetry slam, meme culture, poetry, and film for children, teenagers, and adults.
