Oscilating between sacred iconography and contemporary conceptual art, this precious metal represents splendour and transience, power and metaphor.
The exhibition brings together international artists who understand gold not only as a decorative element, but also as a means of artistic expression, emphasising reflection and resistance.
Exploring the contradictory fascination of gold in contemporary art, Threads of Gold addresses questions of value and meaning, as well as the cultural and ecological dimensions of materiality. The opening will feature a performance by the Ampelos Collective.
