Given the fact that numerous wars are raging around the world, the venue aims to make a statement with this exhibition. Current debate is dominated by calls for weapons, rearmament, and the reintroduction of conscription. Little is said about paths to peace, and the possibility of a non-military solution to conflicts is barely discussed.

VISUAL Ausstellung Plakate gegen Krieg
The visual power of the posters is intended to encourage a reconsideration of the different views on how peace can be achieved and to demonstrate how many different forces desire peace and abhor war.
For this project by Rothener Hof e.V., approximately 80 posters from the past 100 years were selected, representing the entire spectrum of the peace movement, parties and organizations, artists, and other personalities. The association discovered that its members hold very different positions on the topic. They consider the fact that they are dealing with a far-fetched issue and that different attitudes must be tolerated as part of the project.
