Using found objects and self-constructed electro-acoustic instruments, 555 Bugs finds resonances with existing spaces and thus charges them with new meanings.

Everyday objects become special sound objects that each have their very own characteristics. They interact, move, resonate and produce tiny sounds: rustling, crunching, squeaking, cracking. Their sound landscape takes the audience away to a world of menthol buzzers, one-eyed sirens, lemon tadpoles, gingerbread tigers, plastic insects and other creatures.

The works of Maryia Kamarova play with the autonomy of analog objects and transform everyday objects into art. Alongside 555 Bugs, she will also give a keynote presentation on November 1 at the festival breakfast for the 2025 edition of Theater der Dinge. Information About Accessibility: You can find information about the physical accessibility of the performance venue here. The small stage is accessible via one step. The audience sits very close to each other.
