We do not eat merely with our mouths – we also use our eyes! We eat therefore we are: straightforwardly and indispensably, sumptuously and satiatingly. Food is baked into our stories. It feeds, seasons and sears our memories, stirs our emotions, it shapes both who we are and where we live. Food is delectable and sometimes hard to digest. It is all around us, ever-present. Like us, it lives in the here and now. In food, we find comfort – in food, we find ourselves.
