Legal strategies for enforcing environmental justice are currently on the rise. However, the relationship between humans and nature cannot be resolved exclusively through legal means: indigenous populations operate with different cosmologies and a different understanding of law.
According to activists, a comprehensive change in the way of life is the more decisive means of enforcing environmental justice. This closing panel of the focus “On Planetary Justice” examines the limits of law and presents alternative, transformative practices.
