Third Conference of the Syrian Democratic Alliance
In December 2024, the brutal rule of the Assad family ended in Syria after 54 years. For the war-torn country and its population – a significant portion of whom now lives outside Syria – this marked a historic turning point and the beginning of a new era.
Whether it will now be possible to create a stable, pluralistic, or even democratic Syria remains to be seen.
Together with the Syrian Democratic Alliance, a coalition of democratically minded initiatives, primarily from the diaspora, the current challenges are being discussed.
