The vocalensemble.tempelhof has explored the work of singer and lyricist Hildegard Knef, giving 20 of her songs a whole new dimension through the polyphonic arrangements of its choirmaster Matthias Witting.

In addition to her mega-hits, lesser-known songs will also be heard, which, with their original, humorous, emancipatory lyrics and catchy melodies, seem astonishingly timeless even decades after their creation.
Accompanied by autobiographical texts, anecdotes, and interview quotes compiled by actress/author Eva Blum and Witting, this concert evening is a tribute to an exceptional artist with close ties to Berlin.
