The Mies van der Rohe House reopens its doors after a six-week renovation phase, presenting itself in its freshly renovated beauty.

The house cordially invites you to the reopening on Sunday, September 28, starting at 2 p.m. At the same time, the pop-up exhibition "Listening to the Sound of the House" (September 28 – October 13, 2025) by Danish-Ukrainian collage artist Sergei Sviatchenko, in collaboration with sound artist Konstantin Schimanowski, will open. Selected photo collages will be presented, bringing Haus Lemke to life from new perspectives and engaging in a fascinating dialogue with a specially developed sound installation.

Highlights of the day include:

A two-part live performance by Konstantin Schimanowski, transporting the audience into new acoustic worlds surrounding the Mies van der Rohe House.

A creative workshop with Sergei Sviatchenko, where participants can create their own works of art under the artist's guidance. The number of participants is limited; registrations are accepted at info@miesvanderrohehaus.de.

Special sale: The Association of Friends and Supporters is offering books and posters from the house at special prices. The limited-edition SERGEI SVIATCHENKO x MIES VAN DER ROHE HAUS bag is also available at a special price.

The house invites you to ring in autumn together and celebrate reopening day in a relaxed atmosphere.
