With works by Reiner Maria Matysik, Regina Mielich, Mariel Poppe and Héctor Velázquez
The group exhibition Foreign Bodies brings together works by Reiner Maria Matysik, Regina Mielich, Mariel Poppe, and Héctor Velázquez, which explore the possibilities and limitations of the physical.
In their sculptures, familiar organic forms intertwine with strange materials, opening up new perspectives on the relationship between body and environment. Speculative species, hybrid organ fragments, and networked organisms expand the image of the autonomous body into mutable life forms that undergo transformations and occasionally enter into direct dialogue with the viewer.
In a present in which technological enhancements have long been part of our everyday lives and the vision of the cyborg is becoming more tangible, the exhibition focuses on sculptural, tactile, and sensory experiences of bodily changes—fictions that may be closer to reality than they seem.
- Exhibition opening: October 9, 7 p.m.
- Duration: October 10–26, 2025
