Over 11 million tons of fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, grains, and more end up in the trash in Germany every year.
On September 30, 2025, an Action Day against Food Waste will take place throughout Berlin.
The Senate Department for Justice and Consumer Protection is bundling a variety of activities throughout the city as part of the Berlin Nutrition Strategy and the Round Table for Reducing Food Waste.
