Jacques Forestier und Boris Kusnezow

Entitled Song and Dance, the programme unfolds a colourful spectrum from Bartók to Brahms, from Bach to Gershwin – from folk-song-like dances to lyrical and highly virtuosic works to jazz-inspired rhythms.

At the centre is Brahms' lyrical Rain Song Sonata, embedded in an exciting interplay of dance-like vitality and subtle expressiveness.

The concert is also the preview of the album that Jacques Forestier and Boris Kusnezow will be recording in the studio the following day – a rare opportunity to experience this repertoire live in the intimate atmosphere of the Noack Werkstatt.
