Together with the Löwenkinderchor and the Händelkinderchor, the Berliner Konzert Chor will perform Carl Orff's powerful work in a version authorised by Orff for soloists, choir, children's choir, two pianos and many percussion instruments at the Konzerthaus Berlin. Edward Elgar's cycle ‘Scenes from the Bavarian Highlands’ will also be performed.

England's ‘national composer’ Elgar incorporated Bavarian folk music and culture in a very romantic way, making ‘Scenes from the Bavarian Highlands’ an excellent addition to the programme of what is probably the most frequently performed grandiose choral work of all time.
