From October 9th to 11th, 2025, the LA46 Film Festival at the Thalia Cinema Berlin will once again bring stories from the southwest of the city to the big screen.
Under the motto "Forget Hollywood – show it to the neighbors!", 27 films will be screened – from feature films about people and buildings to gripping short films and everyday stories from our own backyard.
The number of submissions significantly exceeds that of the previous year: senior citizens, students, social institutions, amateurs, and professionals will all showcase the diversity of regional filmmaking. Several films will be shown consecutively in each session – a vibrant kaleidoscope of local creativity.
A highlight will be the awards ceremony in five categories, decided by a prominent jury including radio presenter Gerlinde Jänicke and actor Raphaël Vogt.
New this year: the LA46 podcast with background stories and interviews, as well as Q&As with directors and crews directly after the screenings.
Tickets cost €5 and are available online or at the Thalia cinema.
