Since September 2013, Sebastian Brendel has been responsible for the Schöneberg-Mitte region as a church musician. He directs the Neuer Chor Alt-Schöneberg, the Chor zum Heilsbronnen, and the Schöneberg Chamber Choir Project. He is also the conductor of the Schöneberg Church District Orchestra.

Born in 1981 in Rinteln in the Weserbergland region, he received his first piano and organ lessons in his hometown. He studied church music and opera singing in Hanover.
Even during his studies, Sebastian Brendel worked as a church musician in Hanover. As a sought-after vocal soloist, he has performed with the ensemble "musica alta ripa," the Hofkapelle Herrenhausen, and the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, among others. Sebastian Brendel also works as a vocal instructor.
