GRINNING IN YOUR FACE
It was originally supposed to be just a few joint numbers at the end of a solo show – but that didn’t work out that way! Schlagseite’s mercurial licks matched just as well with Flamingeaux’s battered baritone as his buoyant rhythm did with Schlagseite’s laconic delivery. Both share a love for the music of the old Delta greats like Lightning Hopkins, Son House, or R.L. Burnside – and they truly understand it.
