Film series "Shared Histories – Collaboration in Ethnographic Film"
One of the least conventional ethnographic films, described as "a postcard in the service of the imaginary". Based on documentary footage and improvised scenes, Jean Rouch’s first feature-length film and first ethno-fiction follows three young men as they embark from Niger for work on the Gold Coast (now Ghana).
