Film series "Shared Histories – Collaboration in Ethnographic Film"
Alcides Greca is an early docudrama that recreates the historic event of the last uprising of the indigenous Mocoví people in San Javier against their white oppressors in 1904. Local writer and politician Alcides Greca encouraged the survivors to reconstruct this event accurately, including the leader of the uprising, the chief of the Mocoví people. This is one of the few surviving Argentine silent films.
