
Recent art-technological studies have revealed that "The Vision of Daniel," originally painted by a follower of Rembrandt, was radically reworked in the 18th century.
In a kind of recreation, the English painter Joshua Reynolds stripped away the original layers of paint and completely redesigned the work.

In keeping with the church calendar, selected images are discussed by an art historian and a theologian.
