The Academy of Painting Berlin (AfMB) will celebrate its 20-year success story in 2025 with various exhibitions and events. Under the direction of Baselitz's master student Ute Wöllmann, the AfMB has built up a good reputation in the industry over the years. Professionals and beginners alike are taught in year-round painting and drawing courses by renowned and experienced lecturers such as Norbert Bisky, Jonas Burgert, Marion Eichmann, Christopher Lehmpfuhl and others. The private painting programme, which is also available as a distance learning or online course, is innovative, diverse, of a high artistic standard and, with 120 graduates to date, very successful. The programme is designed to be taken alongside work and comprises ten semesters of study. The aim of the programme is to develop your own artistic, authentic and mature work that measures up to the standards of current, contemporary art.
