The concert will be presented by the internationally renowned musicians: the Swiss jazz singer, vocal artist, composer, and lecturer Andreas Schaerer (Bern), the Finnish guitarist, composer, and lecturer Kalle Kalima (Berlin/Helsinki), the organist, choir director, and composer Andreas Behrendt (Stadtkirche St. Jacobi Perleberg), and the vocal ensemble Oktoplus under the direction of Andreas Behrendt. Andrea Richter will provide the textual inspiration.
The deep longing for peace and harmony is an essential concern for the artists and a spiritual challenge in our times. Driven by respect and love for planet Earth, the animate and inanimate beings that surround us, they convey this longing in the sound of their music. They aim to open and experience a vast space filled with peace and joy of life with sound. Short spiritual interdenominational text impulses span the program.
