On Boxing Day, Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio meets traditional Ukrainian Christmas music in Berlin Cathedral, played and sung by Svitlana Kafka on the bandura, an old lute zither long banned by the Soviet government as a symbol of Ukrainian national identity.
