During Advent, the Berlin State and Cathedral Choir fills the cathedral with festive sounds. Around 150 singers present an atmospheric family concert featuring works by Benjamin Britten, Julia Perry, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and other composers.

A highlight is Britten's St. Nicholas Cantata, which impressively recounts the adventures and travels of St. Nicholas—patron saint of children, sailors, and travelers.

The program is complemented by well-known Advent and Christmas melodies that illuminate the special atmosphere of the pre-Christmas season.
