SPIELRAUM – The Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community in Berlin
“Where Is My Place?” by the theatre group Bralin is a forum theatre performance that addresses issues of social exclusion, prejudice, and cultural diversity. Real-life experiences are transformed into staged scenes where the audience is invited to intervene and test solutions. The goal is to foster reflection, inclusion, and empowerment. A moderated discussion follows the performance.
After the performance, soup will be served to share and continue the conversation.
KURINGA – Space for Theatre of the Oppressed, founded by Bárbara Santos, Christoph Leucht and Till Baumann, has existed since 2011 in Berlin-Wedding. Under the artistic direction of Bárbara Santos, KURINGA develops, researches, and expands the methodologies of Theatre of the Oppressed and Teatro de las Oprimidas, with a feminist, anti-racist, and decolonial perspective.
The space is a hub for training, workshops, and performances, hosting community-based Forum Theatre groups. KURINGA produces Forum Theatre works that invite audiences to intervene, participate, and co-create alternative possibilities.
Among others, KURINGA produced the groundbreaking Forum Theatre piece Aesthetics of Solidarity at Uferstudios Berlin. KURINGA is rooted in Berlin-Wedding and part of international networks such as TOgether (Europe), Ma(g)dalena International Network (feminist, global), and ReLATO (Latin America), promoting theatre as a tool for embodied social transformation.
The event is part of SPIELRAUM – The Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community in Berlin
