Exhibition exploring the human urge for salvation
This exhibition dives into the myths we choose to trust, the systems we surrender to, and the fantasies we create in order to survive. Is rescue ever real, or just a reflection of our fears, projected onto the nearest savior?
EtchingRoom1 is an artistic collective founded in 2016 by graphic artists Kristina Yarosh and Anna Khodkova in Kyiv, Ukraine. They work across various media, including etching, mosaics, textiles, and installations. In 2024, due to the full-scale war in Ukraine, Kristina Yarosh and Anna Khodkova relocated to Berlin. A distinctive feature of their practice is a departure from traditional etching techniques — instead of following a classical approach, they create intaglio prints by assembling large images from numerous small metal plates.
