For the opening of the Sukkah, the first guest of Ariel Efraim Ashbel and friends is author, director, philosopher and poet Dr. Michal Govrin.

Dr. Govrin has spent decades working at the intersection of experimental performance and traditional Jewish ritual and is a continuously radical voice rethinking prayer, memory and myth, skillfully articulating her work on the borders between the artistic and the intellectual.

Ashbel and Govrin will discuss the principles of the Sukkah and aspects of the Sukkot tradition in Govrin’s work to kick off Sukkot: hosting the hosts.
