Mixed reality, AR, and AI merge in the TECHNOSYMBIOSIS exhibition to create an immersive art experience. Experience how humans and technology are connecting in new ways.

The duo exhibition TECHNOSYMBIOSIS, curated by Peggy Schoenegge, explores the symbiotic interrelationship between humans and technology. Austrian artist Dagmar Schürrer and Dutch-American artist Jess Tucker demonstrate how digital media are transforming our understanding of identity, society, and reality.

Using augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and artificial intelligence (AI), they create artistic and immersive visual worlds. Their works open up a hybrid space of reflection that reflects and makes tangible the characteristic features of our post-digital age.

The artists question the traditional separation between culture and nature. They examine the fusion of humans and technology that is taking place through the establishment of new media as integral components of our everyday lives.

TECHNOSYMBIOSIS invites viewers to actively participate in this transformation and reflect on their own media use in the spirit of a broader understanding of media.

The exhibition will open on September 11, 2025, at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Berlin as part of FeelAustria Week.

Admission is free; registration is available at berlin-kf@bmeia.gv.at
