SPIELRAUM – The Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community in Berlin
Art and movement will become a tool for connecting different cultures, languages, and countries. Dance will be our guiding thread, accompanying us around the world – from Italy to Caribbean-Afro-inspired rhythms, from the Balkans to Argentina and Bolivia.
The Pangea House is the largest intercultural center in Wilmersdorf – and this year, it will once again open its doors to anyone who wants to discover the world without leaving Berlin.
The focus of the day will be dance – an expression that connects people, cultures, and languages. The journey together will take us from Spanish flamenco to Kurdish dances, Balkan folklore, Argentinian tango, and the Italian tarantella, as well as rhythmic fusions of Latin American, Caribbean, and Afro-inspired dances. This diversity impressively demonstrates how closely dance styles and music from different regions are connected.
The audience is invited to dance along, learn the basic steps with the artists, or simply be enchanted by the energy of the movements.
Around the house, you can also expect:
- Games and creative activities for children
- Delicious food from around the world
- Workshops and hands-on activities
- A raffle with little surprises
- e-Rickshaw – as part of the fLotte sozial project
On this day, the Pangea House will become a lively street of encounters – open to all generations and life stories.
The event is part of SPIELRAUM – Independent Scene Days of the Performing Arts Berlin
